Beginning Machine Piecing



Want to learn how to make a quilt?  Join us to learn the techniques needed to make this beginner quilt.
You will learn how to use a rotary cutter, measure fabric, sew a quarter inch seam, proper pressing and assembly of a quilt.

The pattern that we will be using is Checkmate by Fabric Cafe.  This simple pattern is a 3 yard quilt so you will want to come in and pick out your 3 fabrics for this quilt.  



Supplies Needed:

  • Pattern - included with the cost of the class
  • Fabric to be purchased at TRTI
  • Rotary Cutter - size 45
  • 6"x24" ruler
  • Sewing Machine
  • Sewing supplies: pins, pencil, seam ripper, neutral thread
