Hexified Panel workshop offered by Barbara Brummond
This workshop will meet two times at Threads Run Thru It Quilt Shop. On the first day you will stack, layer and cut 6 of your seven panels. You will begin sewing together your half hexies and learn techniques to keep your work accurate and organized. This is simple piecing. There are no Y-seams. The second meeting will focus on creating a pleasing composition of hexagons around your 7th panel. Proper piecing sequence of areas around the panel will be covered in full, including optional piecing or applique of additional hexies to frame the focal point. Class size is limited to 10 students. Everyone will receive individualized instruction and have plenty of room to work. The workshop fee is $35.00. Your fabric is to be purchased at Threads Run Thru It Quilt Shop. A limited number of kits are available for mini hexified panels, using Ira Kennedy's Bonsai Dreamscape. These are perfect if you want to learn the technique on a smaller scale. Reserve your kit, specially priced at $12, when you register for the class. Please select your fabric before the first class.
