Intro to Foundation Paper Piecing
Have you ever looked at a quilt and thought, how the heck did they get those points so perfect? Let me tell you, it is probably foundation paper pieced. Join us to learn this method of piecing a quilt block.
We will be making a large version of the Pineapple Quilt Block first to get the hang of things, learn the tips and tricks needed for success, then we will make smaller blocks.
Required for class:
Sewing machine in good working order.
Pineapple Quilt Block Foundation Paper
Neutral Thread and bobbin
Add A Quarter Ruler
Rotary Cutter and favorite ruler
For Large Block :
1 - 6.5" strip of fabric for center and background
1 - 3" strip of 3 different colors
For Smaller Blocks:
For 2 color option please choose 1 light and 1 dark. 1/2 yd each to start
For scrapy options several light and dark 2.5" strips and 5" pieces
