Quilted Sneakers Class

Calling all of my quilty friends!!!!!

Quilted Shoes, seriously these are the most fun way to showcase your love for quilting.

Join us on Saturday, May 10, from 10 am - 5 pm.  Our special guest, Allana Bryant, will be teaching this workshop.  She has made over 10 pairs of these special sneakers and has the expertise to lead us through making our own.  

Your class will come with the Happy Feet book, soles and insoles for your size, waxed thread, grommets and tools to use in class.  Threads Quilt Shop is excited to offer some extra special customizations with colored waxed threads and grommets.

Please note your size and color (black or white) of sole for your sneaker kit at sign up in the notes.  The sizes are EU, and the shoes fit true to size.  Sizes range form Women's size 36 to Men's 47.  Example in the notes: Women's 39 in White

There is some prep work that will need to be done before class.

• Fat Quarter for Lining of shoe and tongue accent (optional)
• 1/2 yd of SF101 fused to Lining
• 1/2 yd Fusible Foam fused to both prepared lining and Outside
• Fat Quarter for Outside of shoe
• 4 strips of 1.75" - 2" bias binding measuring 18" in length and pressed in half

• Pre Quilted Fabric(from prep work above)
• Sewing Machine with zig zag stitch and straight stitch
• Blending thread to attach binding
• Awl, Pins, Binding Clips, Snips, Fabric scissors, Paper scissors, Hard Thimble
• Shoe Laces - 40" for lower style, 60" for high tops
• Snacks, Lunch and Drink
